Is this a legitimate opportunity or is this just another one of those "work-at-home or multi-level-marketing" scams?
This is a legitimate opportunity that offers professional growth potential
and we are a legitimate corporation. EDOC Marketing has been in business
for over 11 years. We have two key business purposes:
- To provide the business community an effective and affordable service to gain new business.
- To provide an opportunity for at home workers to grow professionally.
Do you pay commission only?
No. We pay for all call productivity. We pay associates for all phone contacts made plus a bonus for appointments made on behalf of our clients. Some work
is paid on an hourly basis. A performance-based incentive has just been
added.
How much can I expect to earn each week?
You will be paid for all contacts you make plus a bonus each time you
book an appointment plus performance incentive based on individual and team
results on behalf of our clients. Since all pay is based on productivity
the amount you make is determined by the amount of time you are willing
to work each week and how successful you are on the phone. Our new "performance-based
incentive" model negotiated with our clients has just begun and we
have no data yet. However our clients will be paying us a percentage of
sales over the initial $50,000 we obtain for them and many clients obtain
accounts averaging $100,000 per year and up! This incentive will be shared
with the team. From January-August 2007 our phone team associates averaged
between $28 - $219 per week. A 10-hour work week should equate to approximately
$137.50 per week (excluding performance-based revenue) but this does depend
on various other factors.
Will I be making "telemarketer" calls to homes?
No. We make "business-to-business" contacts only and call during normal
business hours.
Will I be an employee of the company?
Not at first. Marketing Team Managers and other staff positions are employees.
Phone team and other associates are independent contractors with no taxes
withheld and 1099 forms issued at the end of the calendar year.
Are there benefits available?
Our benefits are very limited at this time. We have some insurance available
through Aflac and Butler County "Healthshare". Company employees
have a "Simple" retirement investment program including matching funds available
to them.
How often do I get paid?
All staff are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit after the initial two weeks
with the company.
What equipment will I need?
You will need the following:
- A Pentium (or higher) computer
- A good quality printer
- Microsoft Office Program
- A "commercial" ISP connection for email communication
Do I need to have phone experience?
No. We look for individuals with "out-going" personalities who can communicate well over the telephone. All phone associates participate in a four-week training program and Marketing
Team Manager mentoring during the initial four weeks with the company. New
associates "earn while they learn" as the training program corresponds with
daily/weekly paid phone activity. Technical knowledge and ability is a real
plus for you with our company.
How does this work differ from a telemarketing firm?
There are four distinct differences:
- We take a very "focused" approach to contacts made on behalf of our clients.
- Specific teams are assigned to specific clients rather than calls made by a "pool" of callers.
- We partner with our clients. Our main objective is to obtain new business for them. Appointments made on behalf of clients are secondary to actual new business they achieve through our efforts.
- We engage in conversation with decision-makers on behalf of our clients; we do not simply read from "mindless" scripts.
How many hours do I work each week?
A typical week includes ten or more hours of phone work. You are expected to be available for ten hours and can work as many hours as you like.
